:o :o :o

Welcome aboard.  Fine truck!  And a big block to boot.  What are your plans?

Are those 18" rims?

Thanks!

No, they're 20s all around.

It's at the body shop now getting undercoated, and touched up. Should get it back tomorrow.

Between now and summer, I'm replacing the TH-400 with a TCI 700R4 so I can get my OD back. I have a static drop on it now but plan on replacing that with bags from Suicide Doors. I already have everything but the rear bags and brackets. But, the big project is bucket seats / console and a complete interior overhaul.

Is that a little rastafarian stripe around it or am I just imagining things?

Thanks guys!!

No, it's green over orange.. When the painter painted it, his 14yrs old son said, "that truck would look good with an orange pin stripe". I said, yeah and a green one over it.

That's all we said and went on to another topic.. When I went back to pick up the truck a week later, it was done. I was surprised that he didn't tell me before hand. Nonetheless, it looked good so I didn't complain... plus, it was hand painted at no charge!!

Looks Sharp!  I'm not usually big on the flat paint schemes, but for whatever reason your truck kind of forces me to like it...   a lot!   Wicked truck man!  Great work!

First off, Lemme say; Bad ass truck sir! I was oogling the engine pics and noticed you have a 1 row all aluminum radiator similar to the one I purchased for my rebuild. ((??)) If so, What modifications did you have to do to mount it. More simply, how did you mount it [or secure it] to the radiator support...  ???

I am trying to figure out the best solution for mine.

Thanks guys for all the kind words..

That radiator is a "Be Cool" for the 1987 Chevrolet R10. The Fans are Flex-a-lite. The truck was a small block truck originally so I had the upper radiator hold down clamps that were part of the fan shroud already. When I mounted the radiator, the only thing I had to do was remove 2 screws that were keeping the radiator from mounting flush against the support. They were insignificant screws so it was not biggie to remove them. Then I used the upper hold downs from the original setup and it locked the radiator in place perfectly.

The entire build is at: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=279281 (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=279281)

By the way, I got the truck back from the painter late last week. It looks better now with a Hot Rod Black / clear coat over it. I'll get some pics first chance I get and post them here.
