Ok so, I'm wondering if anyone has used hydraulic hose to hook up a transmission instead of aluminum tubing.  Hydraulic hose is made for oil, it can take 3000+ psi, and its WAY eaiser than bending up a bunch of aluminum tubing and trying to get it all to look good. 



The hose can hidden inside the frame up to the radiator.  I'm wondring if anyone has done this before and has seen problems with it?

I've patch a alum hose with fuel line before just flare the tubing and both ends so the hose wont slide off thats all i can think would be a problem

The only problem I can see is abrasion resistance.

i redid my lines with AN fittings and hoses, simply because i got a 20foot roll from a buddy(he didnt go for a rear tank like he was planning) and mylines were patched literally in 5 spots. Routing was easy and it looks great, plus i did bulkhead fittings on the firewall to the cooler up front also so its a professional look.

It all worked out great, the local autoparts store took my line measurments and made as set of lines for me, they crimped on some fittings to the ends and now my trans lines can take up to 3000 psi, of course If my trans ever got to 3000 psi I may have some slight issues.  I got them in and hidden in the frame rail and their tied down pretty securely and they dont leak.  I even had them crimp in a tee in the oil output line for my temp sensor.  All is good.
