Been lurking around for the last month or so, lots of good info and looks like good people. I just bought a 79 stepside and have used you guys for some valuable tips. Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks. I hope to pic up several more tips, and maybe payback a little as I dig deeper into the truck.
Truck when I got it:

Thanks for the welcome and complements. Truck is a long ways from what I have in my head, but it runs now and I get to enjoy driving it while I upgrade/repair it.

It's actually a 2001 Formula. I have a 76 TA that I am working on too. If Pontiac had made a truck that's what I would have tried to find too, but I needed something to carry around Pontiac parts and the wife frowns on greasy things being in her SUV. >:( Don't ask hw I know. ;D

Welcome and that's one of the reasons I bought my 86 lwb is to haul my parts for my two fbodys! The wife frowned on me hauling parts in my yukon.

I've always wanted a nice third gen camaro. But the clean ones are now getting too pricey for my blood.
BTW, nice truck g2bird. Welcome aboard.

It's an older pic but the only one I have of them together.

I like them both. Maybe you could throw a Pontiac 455 in your truck....that would be cool. Then re-badge it like Lorne did his Olds powered truck.

I've been thinking about that. But parts for the 327 are way cheaper than Poncho parts. If the motor in the truck gives out on me though this will have to be reconsidered. ;)
