Title: need help from all you pros!

okay im thinking of buing a 83 diesel thats jacked up 6 inand gots 35 in tires on it.   i dont want it jacked up though so my question is that if you lower it back down to stock height is there anything bad going to happen.?  is it like once its jacked up it should stay jacked up or is lowering it back down just as simple as finding some new springs and u bolts.?  i need help b4 i buy the truck!
