Here's some amazing photos from WWII Around D-Day, at the bottom, there's links to Pacific theatre stuff too.   Thought I'd share.

Thanks for the link 78 chevyrado. My dad was a wwII vet so I always like to see stuff like that.

some of those pictures are pretty sad--those of the landing craft the morning of and the paratroopers on the way over the morning of, simply because so many never made it back.

Thanks for sharing this, my grandfather is a WWII vet and I find stuff like this interesting.

Thanks for posting, I sent the link to an old family friend I have know since I was 8 years old.  He was born in the mid 20's, I'm sure he knows the real story.
