Title: exhaust
Post by: 5chest on May 06, 2010, 11:51:49 pm
Hi, everybody I'm new here I recently purchased a 1986 Chevy Silverado 1 owner garage queen 36000 miles original no rust or dents anywhere 305 4bbl auto long bed red in color $3,000.

My question is with the exhaust I put new on with a single in dual out glass pack and it is so quiet its almost like stock,  I don't want it to obnoxtious but, would like to hear it any suggestions?

Thanks,5chest

Single in, dual out, 40 series Flowmaster. Nice sound, but not loud.

Cut the cat out if you don't have to worry about emissions.  Or punch it out

If you plan on keeping the truck for awhile, get a stainless muffler, I just bought two Magnaflows to replace the Obnoxious sounding rusted out flowmasters. Yup rusted out from the inside.

Typical of these.  Reason #1 why I hate them, closely followed by #2 sound.

I vote for a magnaflow or dynomax ultraflow stainless muffler. Anything straight through and stainless! Get a shorter case magnaflow for louder sound. I have a 14in case magnaflow on my 03 yukon and I love it!
