New member from Illinois. I have been doing research about the following. There is lots of good information on this site!
I looked at this today. 1985 c-20 work truck. HD suspension? Clean inside and out, 2 owner vehicle, 109K miles, Auto, no Air, 350 cu AM radio. original paperwork in the glove box with salesman and original owner listed.
It ran good, but it has 1 shock on the back with piston broke out, and they were air shocks? Definitely could tell it was a 3/4 ton.
Maybe a set of shocks would help that. $1000. Sound like a fair price?

$1k is a steal for that truck.

If it runs at all you could buy it and sell it for $1500 within a week.

Welcome

if it runs good, heck, i'd pay $3k for it. Looks straight w/ little cancer from the pics.

I told him I would take it. Forgot to mention it has been garaged for the last 20 years of its life. I have some landscaping to do this year, so it will come in handy. Definitely need to research the shock choices. I would like to change the the wheels and tires too. Maybe have the tailgate repainted the correct color, I think he told me it had been damaged sometime (then repainted the wrong color code).
Never had a 3/4 ton before, previous truck was a 1500 92 (I think) GMC work truck, I sold it over 10 years back.

Welcome from NW Indiana. Great deal on the truck! I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
