could some of you please measure the width of you hoods. i have just converted from my 82 front to a 89 jimmy front. and i seam to have at large gap at the front of the hood and fenders. about 3/8 to 1/2. any help would be heplful
-
did you use any shims, how does the bottom of the fender match up to the door
-
no shims. and the gap at the fender and door is good. my father thinks its the wrong hood but i told him all hood 81-87 plus crew cab and burbs/blazers are the same. it just seems like the core support is too wide we measured it before we installed it.
-
They are all the same 81 up so you just need to make some adjustments
-
vile, thats what i thought, it just seems weird.

Yeah my gaps got all wonky (well, wonkier) after I did my front end swap too. Just gotta spend a bunch of time tweaking and adjusting. Tedious but achievable apparently.
