OK I called around and can get 3" lift spindles for a 83 and up but not 80. What is so different about the 80 upper and lower control arms that 83 spindles wont fit?
Can you just grab some 83 control arms and stick them on a 80?
Anyone?
I got a 16 year old boy dying to lift not lower!
we already converted over to a 84 ebrake cable system to clear out and cleanup underneath for dual exhaust. so we are not afraid to put 83 or 84 control arms on if thats what it takes.
Thanks!!!

Why not make it a 4x4?
The difference should be in the brake rotors that fit on the spindles.

88-98 spindles and ball joints can be used with 3/4 ton lower control arms and 4in lift spindles are available for under $275 for those years. I am going to do this when my suspension stuff wears out. You can also choose your bolt pattern 5,6 or 8 lugs based on what hub and rotor combo you buy.

i did HD/Diesel springs in the front with stock spindles and 3" blocks in the rear. i got about 2 1/2 inches of lift from the springs but they later sagged about an inch. it dosent ride too much rougher and if your young like me you probably wouldnt care to much anyway haha. ive since ditched the blocks in the rear in favor of blazer springs with an extra leaf i added and i like them better than blocks. ive seen lift springs for the front on ebay before i think...
