Title: Need advice on buying Tires
Post by: pcwizard on May 18, 2010, 08:51:41 pm
I am thinking of keeping my truck close to the stock height. It is a 1984 k-10 4wd, my question is I am wondering how much rubbing or trouble I would run in to if I try to install a set of Super Swamper Tires size 31x13.50x15 on 15x10 rims? Please respond. I can always go 31x12.50x15 but I would really like to run the wider ones,, Thanks in Advance..

I recommend goind with the 12.50 on 10 inch wide rims. 13.50 will probably rub and 12.50's might. Just my .02.

are you using the same rim thats on your truck now? with two inches you will be good i would almost bet you be good with stock hight but turn your tires all the was in and see how much room they have between the tire edge and frame then turn the out and see about that measurement. i would go with something else beside swampers they are too soft for a truck that will see allot of pavement IMO but if you do get them make sure to rotate.
