Title: Belltech drop spindles???
Post by: 82ChebySWB on May 21, 2010, 12:00:19 pm
Good afternoon, I'm about to change out my 3" drop spindles on my '82 in favor of some 2" spindles. I have a friend who says he can get the Belltech's for a pretty dang good price (under $200)

My question is this......if I order a Belltech 2" drop spindle....is the drop exactly 2" difference....or is the drop more???  Reason I ask is I've seen some spindles on Ebay that said that they were a 2" spindle and they said it allowed for 2.5" of drop.

Just wanted to see who's ran these Belltech spindles previously, and what you thought about them......and what the exact drop might equate to ;)

Spindles are usually more accurate than springs, as far as the actual drop. Same with lift spindles. I was always pleased with the results at my old shop.

My Bell Tech spindles are a 3 inch drop.  The ones for the 88-98 are 2 inch.

I'm looking for the EXACT amount of drop that thier spindles provide. Does thier 2" spindle actually allow 2" of drop.......or is it more?? Some spindles say 2" and then are actually 2.5" drop
