please just let me know if you can, and if so a helpful website or some helpful info
-
if its possible will it be hard and expensive or easy and inexpensive i can deal with the hard but the expensive is where it goes down south and me and some buddies will be swapping it we just are doing some research.
also trans from the dodge will go into the truck if it can forgot to mention that
any info will help like how or what is involved
-
reason im doing this is because i hate the body style on the dakota and for now driving the silverado with my whimp dakota engine in it doesnt sound bad ;D
-
anything can be done i don't think money would be a problem its more just all the work you would have to fab up your own engine mounts and trans mount that should be about it along with a radiator not sure of mopars layout thats the only thing but whats wrong with yours? what about getting a engine from the junk yard?
-
Why...
-
no money or else i would im only 18 and have a lowsy job all my money goes to insurance, laptop bill, gas, and my gym bill
im training for the marines and after a few years of that i can put some real time and money into the truck
-
my gym bill
im training for the marines and after a few years of that i can put some real time and money into the truck
well thats another mistake lol you don't train for the Marines they train you. besides their pt will get into shape fast
-
Good choice! I just did 5 years. You must not be going for a while if your thinking about doing a swap. My truck sat for those 5 years.
-
have till january
-
o yeah i also pt with the marines its prep for bootcamp its really hrd but fun i love working out it stuff like that hhaha
-
Dude, you only have 8 months left at home. I think I'd try to find a junkyard chevy engine like Irish said or just stick it out in the D-koty. That engine swap is a lot of work and valuable time just to end up with something your still unhappy with. I say, load up the Old Dodge and go chase some girls!
-
im training for the marines
Make sure you can run 2 miles in less that what? 14-15 mins. Shave your head before ya go. HARD CORE
-
yeah idk haha the 2miles i got down now running 3miles in 18mins is what im working on right now down to 20mins :) and i think im just gonna put the time in swaping the engine it will be fun
-
Everyone is entitled to one mistake.
-
lol "one" i think i used that up more than once
-
Ha! that's almost daily for me!
-
Good luck if you plan on going with the swap. If you need and help or advice on the Marines, let me know. Recruiters are SALESMEN.....
