hi, i have an 87 chevy western hauler conversion truck lots of fun toys and add ons. kool old truck but has lived in iowa for half of its life, but the body is not bad and is highly restorable. 87 454 crew cab c30 dually 454 big block tbi new 4 speed, runs great. we just took it on a 900 mile trip to northern minisota and it ran great other than starter going out, but easy fix. but  the oil pan is leaking like crazy and it needs changed. do i need to pull the engine or can i leave it in. it looks like i can do it with the engine in but not sure. new to doing this job on this engine. could use some instructions too if possible never done an oil pan before. thanks guys in advance. you guys are great.

You should be able to drop the pan and change the gasket with it in the truck.
