Should the sending unit be in the hot or cold line of the transmission? I assume the hot line...

OK, thats what I thought, although B&M say to use the cold line. But it makes sense to use the hot.
The gauge came with a sender that goes into the transmission, not a inline sender that I thought it would. Is there somewhere on the TH-350 to place it or should I get the kit for the line?

hot line.. iirc its the top line coming out of the tranny..
it would be most refelant to fluid temp coming out of the TC were 80-90% of the heat is generated

definatly the hot,
id rather know what the temp is not what its being cooled to, i have a great aftermarket cooler in the mix on mine and it cools it down very well, (had a second gauge installed at the start so i could compare but my uncle wantd it back), keeping an eye on the temp will save these things

I think B&M wants you to see how "good" thier cooler is in dropping temps rather than the more useful actual temp of the fluid before cooling that would be more reflective of the temp inside the transmission.
