I have a 87 chev that i had for 11 years now and decided to do a full frame off restoration, i will post pics as i go.
Here is what i started with,
87 chev 1/2 ton
1 ton frame from military truck
92 surburban front clip
12 bolt read with lock right locker
10 bolt corp in front with a auburn limited slip
350 target master
208 transfer case
th 350 auto
6" skyjacker lift
36" swamper radials
-
tearing everything down to the frame
-
Frame is being sent to get sand blasted and opoxy painted.

Lucky!
What was that plate behind the steering box?
-
The old guy that had the truck before me decided to put a plow.. i took all that out
-
Poxy painted all parts as they are put back together, updated to a gear to gear case, and got a 8" BDS suspension lift from http://www.jansam.ca/

Thanks, yeah i will look at your progress also, i started this about 6 weeks ago... I'm going to start working on the body soon..
I have a 350 vortec that i have to get the heads machined to have bigger springs put into... so i can run a bigger cam.
