My parking brake light doesn't turn off when the parking brake is disengaged? Whats up with this, anyone know?
-
Look for the switch on your parking brake lever and see if it is disengaging or not. Release the parking brake to relieve the pressure on the switch and see if you can pull out the end that should pop out.
-
I know this is too obvious but have you pulled the release and lifted up on the pedal with your foot? I think the combination valve under the hood can also cause the brake light on the dash to be on.
-
Yes it can. If you unplug it and it goes out you know that's what's turning it on.

And after that, check your brakes. That light is a warning light that your brakes are low.
