Post by: Maintenanceman on June 11, 2010, 08:11:01 pm
1985 Chevrolet K20....for Some reason the choke light is staying on in the dash ALL THE TIME and I cant get the carb to idle down. Carb is a 600 holley with electric choke less than a year old....any suggestions? I can even take the choke fuse AND gauge light fuse out and the light still stays on and its idling aroun 1200-1500 even with the idle screw backed out

Either you have low oil pressure or the pressure switch has gone out.

So how about this for a cause...

Oil pressure sending unit has 2 ports....one is a bell lookin thing and the other looks like some sort of switch....I pulled the smaller one out and put the sending unit in for my new sunpro oil pressure gauge....would that cause it? because my factory gauge is still reading oil pressure and Ive got plenty of oil pressure
