Are the rear bumper mounts (brace kit) the same between the sport (standard) bumper and the step bumper? I want to install a standard bumper on my truck and it has a step bumper on it now. Are the brackets different between the 1\2 3\4 1tons or are they all the same? Thanks guys!

The brackets are different and there is also a valance panel that goes between the bumper and the bed.
-
Does the standard bumper not get the valance panel?
-
yes the standard bumper gets the valance but most tuck the bumper closer to bed and no need for the filler
-
So I should leave the "filler" panal that is in between tailgate and the bumper but most take it off because you can hardly see it? Does my 1ton need different brackets then a 1\2 ton or are they all the same?
Thanks again! Buying used, want to do it right the first time.

there the same brackets
-
If you modify the brackets you can move the bumper in closer to the body.
-
Thanks again. Any pics or write up on tucking the bumper?

Can anyone tell me how they tucked their bumper? I am going to the junkyard tomorrow to get the standard bumper and brackets including the filler panels off of a 1\2 ton. I am hopping it will fit my 1ton no problem. Thanks!

Am I correct that the Suburban\K50 brackets are different then the truck brackets?
-
Suburban outer brackets are the same, Burbs done have inner brackets, (nor do Blazers)

I went to the junk yard today and got perfect brackets, rust free in good shape in Florida! Bolts came right off, not used to that in Indiana! $17 latter, I am happy.
Do all trucks get the valance panel (filler) or does just the 1\2ton get those? I grabbed those as well since they were in good shape but don't know if the 3\4 and 1tons got them.
Thanks guys!
