Hey guys,
I'm new to this site but not new to our favorite trucks.
I've been working on restoring my 1985 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4 for about 4 years. My goal is to make the truck look like my grandpa's old truck: a 1977 Chevy Silverado. His truck was a camper special so it had a 454 under the hood. I'm putting the '77 drivetrain and interior into the '85 chassis. It's a fun project.
I've run into a road block though. I live in upstate New York where most old vehicles are all too familiar with rust. My bed is too rusty to put onto a show truck.
Do any of you guys know of any junk yards in the south where I can find a mostly rust-free fleetside pickup box with dual square fuel doors for dual tanks? I've searched on craigslist and haven't had much luck. It's a rare box and I'm willing to drive as far as north or South Carolina to pick it up.
I'd really appreciate any help you guys can offer.
Here's a video of my truck so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LilZFGGxurs
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried looking on car-part.com? It's basically an online list of junkyards with searches for the specific part and condition.

I saw several at Dons Pull A Part in Monroe, NC last weekend. They sell for $200.
