I never heard of a 3 inch steel one, I've heard of 2,3,4 inch fiberglass and some cases a 4 inch steel but I don't think they have a 4 inch steel for 73-87s?
-
Captain, does a 3" steal cowl exist for an 82????
-
Not that I know of.
-
Chris have you considered selling the reflexxion hoods?
-
I did at one time but their buy-in was ridiculous. I think I may sell 3 cowls a year, they wanted me to buy $5000 worth to get jobber pricing.
-
ouch, what about harwood, would they offer a deal to you? I used one on my monte carlo and it was great fit and quality.
-
Haven't talked to Harwood, but most fiberglass places are hard to deal with.
-
How do Hardwood hoods hold up? I was looking at one in Jegs bolt-on 3"cowl!
-
had the same one on the monte carlo for over 3 years now or more nothing has changed, no cracks no flakeing paint nothing.
-
I prefer steel over fiberglass.
-
fiberglass has more options though. Some vehicles like s-10's and 3rd gen camaro's have a 4 inch steel which I love, just wished they offered them for all vehicles. Plus they got some steel ram air style and such for the 88-98 trucks. I'd run steel for sure if they had what I wanted.

They make the steel ram air hoods for 73-80, 81-91
