Title: Vent window weatherstripping - help
Post by: 74bowtie on June 25, 2010, 11:56:48 am
What is the technique for installing rubber weather-stripping on a 74 vent window? I have been using hot soapy water but I can not get the top end of the weather-stripping to install. I have unfortunately and unintentionally cut the weather-stripping by applying force with a flat rounded rod. I will be purchasing new weather-stripping and I do not want to repeat my mistake. I would greatly appreciate some guidance.

I was fortunate enough to find some nos vent windows with the weatherstripping already attached, so I feel for you because it is apparently a tuff job. But the sister site to this one has a thread on the weatherstripping install. Good luck with it..
