Title: Socket size for ball joints
Post by: 82gmc3/4ton on June 29, 2010, 06:52:00 pm: Can someone tell me what size sockets are used to remove the nuts off of the upper and lower ball joints?

Post by: Blazin on June 29, 2010, 07:03:23 pm: It could be different depending on if they are original, or after market. I have found over the years that aftermarket one tend to use a larger nut.Use a tape and messure across the nut.

Post by: Irish_Alley on July 03, 2010, 12:32:47 am: do what blaz said messure them then go out and buy individual sockets from sears or a parts store and before you take the plastic off the sockets see which one fits with least slop and return the others you didn't use just make sure there not dirty
