Title: A/C removal drawbacks?
Post by: txchainsawgogi on July 09, 2010, 01:09:44 pm
'78 C10 5.7L auto.

Currently the ac does not work, or even have a belt on the compressor. I was told it didn't work, and it threw belts off constantly.

How hard would it be to remove it? Should I just leave it alone for the time being?

If you remove it, you will have to get it drained. If you plan on getting it fixed and working correctly, I would just leave it and work on it a little at a time.

Its just kinda last on the list of things to fix, which is why I wanted to remove it and later on down the line replace it. I guess I should just leave it for now :'(

Leave it until you are ready to fix it.
