Title: Converting 1/2 ton front to 8 lug with 3/4 ton parts?
Post by: Mtrhd329 on July 11, 2010, 08:38:51 pm
So i blew out my stock....i think it was 12 bolt?  lol  I cant remember now.  Found a 14 bolt out of a wrcked 1 ton and the guy gave me LCA's, rotors/hubs, and springs from the 1 ton.  My problem now is that i have street tires on 5 lug rims in the front and all terrains on 8 lug rims in the back.  I have done some research but the best i can see it would be easier to swap the front to 8 lug to match.  I could go 6 lug front and back but that is more work than i think just doing the front.

So what is the difference between the rotors on 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons.

To get 8 lugs you need to swap the control arms out.

he said 1 ton but i just figured it was 3/4 ton since it was a 14 bolt ff axle and 2wd.  what is the difference between 3/4 ton and 1 ton?
