Title: rear end splines

how many splines are on a 10 bolt 2wd truck rearend? how many splines are on a 12 bolt 4wd truck rearend? will the 5 lug 10 bolt axles fit in a 12 bolt 4wd axle?

10 bolt can have 28 or 30 and the 12 has 30 but they cant be changed out

10 bolt and 12 bolt axles will not swap. You can swap 10 bolt 6 and 5 lug axles, the same for 12 bolts 6 and 5 lug will swap.
