I was wondering if anyone has used 2inch drop spindles with 15x8 rallys. Some people say you can and others say you have to run atleast a 17in wheel, so if anyone has ever done this or knows what kind of spindles will work i would appreciate the help. Thanks

It works fine. Yes the bigger wheels might look better to some, but it's a personal preference thing if you ask me. Heres a pic of my 85 with the coils cut, basically the same thing. I have it torn it apart right now putting A-frame bushings and spindles and coils. It will sit about the same. I'm going back with the 15x8 Rallyes and 275/60-15s to retain the look.

Are those 275/60/15x8 on there in that pic? Thats the tire size I am thinking about with rallys also. Will they go on the front and still turn with a 2.5" drop?

All you need is the right back space. If you run the stock rally you should be alright. I put 2" drop on mine but my wheels have about a 4' back space and almost dont fit, If I had weights on the outside they would hit the tierod end. I also had a problem with the spindle hitting inside the wheel, figured out that the edge where the brake caliper mounts needed to be ground down just abit tight fit but they work. I do have aftermarket wheels not stock.

Yes, those are stock 15x8 rallyes with 275/60-15 tires. I have used them with 2-1/2 spindle and 1' coil, and no rub issues. A stock rallye has a 4-1/2" back spacing. The truck in the pic has 2 full coils cut and drives good I just can't quite get the camber right so I'm going with the spindles and coils, on this truck I have the shackles and hangers, but thinking anbout the flip kit if it sits too high in the back.

I have 2.5" drop spindles in mine with stock rallye wheels. The only issue I had was with the brake line, just had to bend it out of the way.

I had the McGaughys 2.5" lowering spindles and they barley fit the stock 8" ralleys. I mean lock to lock would take part of the lead weight off (it would shave it). So what I did to solve my problem... dont turn lock to lock, becuase when I did, I knew I turned too far. With the wheels strait, plenty of clearance.... its jut lock to lock

I had bad luck, I could not put my 15's on and drive with the after I put the McGaughys Spindles on my truck, I even had to trim to use a 17 inch wheel. with the same backspacing.
