I bought a new booster and master cylinder for my 82 K-10 I was wondering does it mater witch line goes where into the master cylinder, cuz i noticed on my old one, the bigger size bolt was in the back, now its in the front on the new one. Whats the deal? They give me the wrong one? Old one was steel, new one is plastic.... I got the brakes all blead, and the pedal feels hard, Im not about to drive this till I know, lost brakes in this once, dont want it to happen again :o Thanks guys

I am pretty sure you got the wrong one.

Yup you need the metal one.

I ordered it online from advanced auto. Why do they even list this plastic one for this truck, if it isn't the right one?
-
The only thing I can see is if it’s a diesel engine it has a metal cylinder if its gas it has the plastic

Ok I bought the right master cylinder, bled the lines, took the truck out and the pedal went to the floor again....... :o Whats going on? What else could it be?

Did you bench bleed the MC before installing? Are your calipers/wheel cylinders leaking like a sieve?

I did bench bleed the master, and theirs no leaks
