A little while ago I got the original Rally Wheels back that came on my truck from the factory. I cleaned them up, but they need to be repainted. I have no clue what silver color to get. I don’t know what GM's name for it, or the paint code.
I’ve been told I am a bit anal when it comes to my truck, because I want it put back as close to factory condition as possible. So any old silver color won’t do. Does anyone here have any idea what the name or paint code is for the silver color used?

Something tells me it was Argent Silver. I could be wrong. Someone will chime in that knows for sure. Good luck.

Can a very similar color be bought at an auto parts store?
Thanks

I used VHT Wheel Paint from O'Reilly Auto Parts on mine, and they came out nice. They have one called SP186 Chevy Rally Silver, that is very close to the Argent Silver. I have an old can of the Argent Silver that came from Tamraz several years ago that I used to respray my grill and headlight bezels, and it's so close that I cannot see the difference.
The VHT paints seem to be pretty good quality stuff too. I also used them under the hood to paint brackets, manifolds, etc. They spray and coat well, and have held up well so far (2 years on the engine brackets, and about a year on the wheels).
