To me it appeared he had leaf springs with coils in between the rear end and the frame. Not a good pulling setup.

A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link........

In this case it was the u-bolts!

I'll bet he gets better ones next time. LOL!

You really need some link bars when you're going that big with a truck. Especially when you're tractor pulling traction bars are essential.

Most places the rules stipulate that the stock class can't have traction aids, or devices.

I cant say what they stipulate but when you lift vehicels 10-12 plus inches and drive them hard more often than not leaf springs fail.
