Title: 87 chevy pickup head liner

my headliner finally lost its adhesive and now is hangin low! :(...I have seen other older chevy trucks just remove that piece of wood and have the metal showing and it looks better then the headliner what should i DO???remove it or replace it?

I would take it out finish removing the cloth, then use a quality spray adhesive and re attach it. Then reinstall. I have done a couple trucks for other people They went to the sowing / cloth section of the local chain store and got a patterned material to replace the original with.
