Hey guys didn't know where to put this so its going here. I have a very nice tractor supply aluminum diamond plate tool box that I had on a dodge dakota I had and was only on it for 3 months and its been sitting next to where I park since....well I've been wanting to put in in my k10 but it being a smaller box it sits down in the bed which is perfect since I want to put a tonue cover on any way. I know you all will say it needs to be drilled but can anyone think of any inventive ways to mount it so it will not slide around without drilling through the bed floor? Thanks

DUCK TAPE LOL but I remember autozone had some plastic almost act like wedges but I don't think it will fit since its a smaller tool box but it might work
-
I've thought of all kinds of ways to go about this I willmore than likely drill but I hate to do that since the bed is in such good shape :/

How about some sort of framework to set the box into? Angle iron, 2x4's, etc.
Similar to a winter "weight" box.

velcro?
lol

Lol ill set it in the bed tomarrow if I get the chance and get a picture

get a rubber flooring for the bed. They sell them on line and at truck "toy" stores. I had a rubber mat in my bed of the 79 pickup, nothing slid around. You can cut it to just fit under the box if you want. It won't slide around on top of that. guaranteed.

Yeah I've always wanted a "bed mat" anyway. Once things settle down and we move into our new house of course after we find it lol I'm going to start on some body work and do a roll in liner in the bed but will still want a bed mat on that too.

Drill the holes ;D
My bed floor is mint, and I drilled the holes before I rolled in my plastikote bedliner, after the liner was in I set the box in place, i ground away the paint and undercoat on the underside of the bed, smeared a thin coat of dielectric grease on the fender washer, bolted it in place with four 3/8" stainless bolts, and then resprayed the bolt areas with a good layer of the undercoating.
