Title: Wiring harness for power locks and windows
Post by: kentucky steve on August 16, 2010, 10:42:05 pm
I am looking for a new wiring harness for the power windows and locks that I am putting in my 83 Chevy.  I understand from a little research that it just plugs into the fuse block and leads to the doors from there.  Any Ideal where I can buy one new.  I am not a big fan of junk yards for any electrical parts.

Thanks Kentucky Steve

Power window is here:

They are Electric Life kits.  I can get their power door setup also but it isn't factory setup.  I don't have their updated catalog yet.

Yes what all is involved in swapping over to power everything. Could you use your kit and buy GM switches to have the factory look.

If you want power windows you need the switches above and this:  http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=7&Product_Code=GM01-K&Category_Code=

If you want windows and locks you need those switches and actuators also.

Capt, does the lock kit really come complete? Doesn't it need something to actually lock\unlock the doors or am I missing something. I have been wanting to switch my truck over to power windows\locks, looks like I jusr need the two kits and I am good to go?

I don't even know if electric has a lock kit that will fit these, they just list a kit.

Since this is something you carry or can order will you look into it, if so I would order everything to do both sides of my truck.

Ok, this too WAY to long for them to respond, I finally got my rep on the line today and the 95120 will work for these trucks.

They are $137.95 + shipping.
