I have a 1990 1/2 ton crew cab (Square style). When I bought it, it had a flip kit in the rear with 3" drop spindles. It rode VERY rough, So I removed the rear shocks which were bottomed out. It now rides smooth as silk but rides like a truck with no shocks. BOUNCY.... I have a buddy who said I could have someone look up the length of the factorys at a parts store and find me some 5" shorter off of another factory vechicle. I was wanting to know if any of you have run into this and knew what vechicle they would come off of.
Thanx

You should be using drop shock brackets or lowering shocks, either of which you can get from Summitracing.com

I used some off of a 70 Chevy C10 with coil spring rear. They are shorter, but I don't think 5" though.

I remounted the shocks to the lower side of the rear axle on some custom brackets
