both my gas gauge and my temp gauge are now suddenly reading too high, from what ive heard it could b caused by the voltage regulater in my alternater, but my voltmeter seems to b ok and it charges fine, guess im not sure what to think
-
Have your alternator tested, many auto parts stores have the ability.
Then check your dash grounds as well as the printed circuit board on the cluster.
-
If they both started acting up at the same time I would start at the cluster and clean your connections at the printed circuit.
-
alternator tested out fine, geting frustrated, were are the dash grounds located?
-
If I were a betting man you are going to find a burnt spot on your printed circuit board on the back of your instrument cluster. I had mine go out, a quick trip to the pick-n-pull and $35 lighter in the back pocket I got a nice one that had a quartz clock.
-
As you've heard us say - CHECK THE PRINTED CIRCUIT
-
the printed circuit has a ground and everything else it should be the problem as vile keeps saying lol
-
well printed circuit seems to b fine, cant find any problems there..., think im guna hav to break down and take it in to someone who can do a ltl more testing than i can, frustrating
-
make sure your ground on the circut board is good use a ohms tester and test the plug ground then plug it in and test the gnd on the board make sure they both read good
