I have an 84 silverado, w/ 4" lift was wondering if the shackle flip from ORD is worth it. I like the idea of removing the lift blocks. And does it give you a little more axle twist.

i think the shackle flips are def. worth it. easy way to get rid of blocks, and will yield a little more flex. if by "twist the axle" you mean change the pinion angle, yes, they do. but with a 4" lift, it kinda corrects the angle more than hurts it.

Shackle Flip for sure! But I suggest DIY4X. Their kit allows you to ditch the junky factory shackles.

I think Lorne(HaulinIt) did a DIY shackle flip on his truck. Might want to search some of his old posts for pics and info.

i have heard of people using the rear axle's front spring hanger as a home made shackle flip. i have heard it works great and costs very little to do.

To make your own, use the FRONT spring perch on a 4x2 truck.
