I just bought an after market door for my 85 4x4. I am just about to loose my mind I had to walk away. The aftermarket door wont accept the vent window, none of the holes line up right. All the holes for everything are off just a tad. This is the first time I have ever done an aftermarket door swap and it will be the last. These things are garbage. Any pointers when doing this kind of thing.

I hear ya man, I tried an aftermarket door but no matter what I did nothing quite lined up right (though the vent window worked fine for me). After a few months I just went to a wrecker and got an original GM door instead. If you wanna make this one work I think you'd have to elongate some holes.

One of the first things I do with an aftermarket door is make all the holes a little bit bigger. I also put a bunch of tiny tack welds on the edge of the hem all the way around. Where the door skin wraps around the door shell / frame.

Who made them?
