Post by: turdgear on September 11, 2010, 07:34:49 pm
hey everyone...newbie here.    i run a  '79 gmc 3/4 ton, long box, corp 14 in rear and gm 12 in front, 4" susp lift, 383ci,  yada yada.  anyway i want to run the 16.5 x 9.75 stock chevy rims with hub caps and a 35x12.5 tire.  anyone running this setup? (pics?)  hows the clearance?(i know i have to do some fender trimming) and lastly what should the the backspacing be on those stock 16.5 x 9.75 rims?

what i'm curious about is where those stock chevy 16.5 x 9.75 rims, with 5" backspacing, position a 35" tire in the wheelwell.  does it have room to arc up without getting in to the fender?  i would love to see some pics if anyone has this set up.
