Title: Best Riding shocks for 1 ton 2wd
Post by: Da67goatman on September 14, 2010, 09:54:25 pm
Anyone know any smooth riding shocks for a 1 ton 2wd?  I am looking at Procomp ES9000 Nitrogen charged for about $150, I am willing to pay more for a nicer ride.  Might be putting on steering stabilizer as well but not for a while, would be nice if they matched, but they don't have to, just my OCD lol.

Describe nice?  1 tons are going to be rather stiff, so your ride won't change much with just shocks.

Nice= not bouncy and not wishy washy like caddy float.  I know some shocks were designed for off road while others were designed for handling while others for ride quality.  So far I have been recommended gabriel and bilestein.  My buddy just put skyjackers on his jeep and it rides like a rock now, and it has coil springs all round.  I have also heard that King shocks are top of the line, but i don't know anyone who has run them.

I am running bilstiens on mine, came that way and they aren't bouncy like a caddy, they are pretty solid.
