so i got a dumb question :-\ i just noticed my truck has a c-notch. problem is i bought it lowered and want to bring back up to stock height ( i know.. i know... but the previous owner did a backyard lowering job and it rides like crap!) this way if i wanna lower it later, i can do it right. so i was wondering if i bring it back to stock, am i gonna run across any problems with the c-notch. I'm putting on brand new leaf springs and am concerned about putting stress on the frame. any advice would be appreciated. thx..... '87 r10 2wd

As long as the cnotch was done properly you should be good. My friend's chevy used to be on bags then we got it it was all the stock stuff back on it other than the frame of course(c-notch) he lifted it put 33's on it and I never heard any problems about it.

cool. i was just wondering because a friend told me that these truck frames seem to crack easy. i dont plan on doing anything crazy with this truck. just want a decent ride and be able to hual light loads. im gonna miss that slammed stance though

They are known to crack by the steering box(4x4's esp) but if its good welding and not rusted out you'll be good.
