I thought it was ignoring them since you didnt do anything wrong, dont need to stop.

If you get pulled over at night, turn your interior lights on and hold up your hands. Worked for me.

To a officer, there is a difference between holding your hands up and just keeping them visible on the steering wheel. Also, roll all windows down unless its raining or you dont have tint. Tell the officer where you are reaching before you do. Officers can be more nervous than the driver because they dont know what they are walking up to. If they arent nervous, they are complacent.

You know I have to chime in here. I don't work the roads anymore--I have more administrative responsibilities now, but, when I did pull people over, I HATE IT when people slam on the brakes and come to a stop right there on the road with absolutely no regard to other traffic.
Dude, it won't hurt one bit to travel another 100-200 feet to pull over into a service station, fast food joint, vacant lot, whatever--NOT ON THE FREKIN ROAD BLOCKING TRAFFIC! Simply put your hazards on so you are telling the officer you acknowledge and drive slowly until you find a SAFE PLACE! For anything else, think of the safety of the officer.
The rest of that article is true though--but don't stop immediately-just slow down 'til there's a safe place. I'm cool with that. I've had people stop in middle of intersections before...good golly, you won't get an eluding charge if you slowly find a safe place to pull over. When people are smart enough to find a safe place, I usually just give them a warning and thank them for considering safety when pulling over.
While I'm on the topic, Ever wonder why officers travel on the hammer lane? I hate when people will not pass you on the interstate. I try and travel in the middle lane unless I am passing someone, but, when drivers in the hammer lane see me, they slow down and travel the same speed as I am and will not pass. I hate being blocked in by cars in case evasive action must be taken---blown tire, debris in road, whatever. But, when drivers will not leave your rear quarterpanel and they slow down when I slow down, and they speed up when I speed up----they will not pass even if I'm doing 10 miles below the limit. Lotza fun. So, officers almost have to speed to avoid jam ups due to no one passing us.

Well tell your buddy's to quit pulling us over for speeding lol. Jk what gets me is when an officer has someone pulled over and granted we (as in a pack of cars) may or may not be speeding but the people up from slam on their brakes just so they don't get a ticket then everyone has to slam on their brakes. What I do is make sure the officer is ok but do it at a constant speed. Or when someone spots a marked or unmarked car and slams on their brakes I just think to my self if he wanted you he's already got you 100 ft ago.

I get a kick out morons that see an officer with someone allready pulled over standing next to the car. They aren't really going to fast, yet they still have to stand on the brakes. Uh HELLO, hes busy. Just lift off the gas pedal and continue on.

That's a pet pieve for me too, Blazin. I regularly go 7 or 8 mph over on the interstate and cops regularly come speeding up behind me and tailgate me. Their lights aren't on so I just move over and let them do the 20 over that they are trying to achieve. Maybe its a Louisville thing, but I see it at least a couple of times a week.
