With Billy Powells death earlier this year, I guess that makes Gary Rossington the last man standing... unless Artimus Pyle is still somewhere. It's really sad to see such a great group of musicians just drop off one by one. I was a tenth grader and total Skynyrd fan when they crashed in Mississippi. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Undoubtedly the best rock-n-roll band ever. RIP Leonard.

Leonard Skinner was never part of Lynryd Skynyrd. He was a high school coach of the Vanzant boys. They named the band after him with a play on spelling.

I know that but still it's just another part of the story ending.
