Ok guys. I wanna keep my truck kind of low key and stick to 15's. They are more low key, tires and wheels are cheaper, and I like an OEM look. I'm debating between this style with flat caps, and maybe rings....

and this style with caps and rings.....

on this......

I do not know what lowering kit is on it, but was told it has spindles and springs, and it has an axle flip.
What wheel and tire size should I run? I have been told I can squeeze 15x10's in the rear. I want the tires to fill out the fender wells close to the lip. I can/will get them rolled if I have to. I have been flipping through picture threads and I see all sorts of wheels, van wheels, 7's, 8's, 10's, all different tire sizes. I have no idea what to get and can't really return a set of wheels and tires if they look wrong or don't fit. Help!!!!!
-
You definitely want 15x10 in the rear 15x8.5 in the front. Measure your backspacing you need and pick the style you like. As far as tires break out the tape measure and see what you have for clearance. You should be able to fit a 325/50/15 in the rear
-
I think either wheels would be ok, but I like the centers for the 2nd better, and trim rings for sure on either. Maybe the corvette or camaro centers? but personally I think I'd leave the wheels you got on it now, I like aftermarket better. If you like stock then go for it.
-
Definitely leaning towards the truck centers and caps. I just need to get a few confirmations on the sizes, backspacing, and tire sizes from you guys on here which know more then I do. I'm waiting to hear back from Stockton wheel on Monday if they have the right sizes in stock or I have to buy some craigslisters and ship them off.
I HATE the wheels on it. They aren't for me, or the direction I want to go. I basically want my truck to look like a factory built muscle truck. When I take them off I will sell them. I have no idea who makes them, or what they are even worth. Any ideas? Also, what drop do you think it has inch wise?

I am also going to be swapping out the square lights for round.
-
Maybe a 3/5 drop?
-
round lights definately, what drop it has on it now looks like 3/4 or 3/5 look under the back and see if the leafs are under the axle or on top. if they are under it's flipped and is a 5-6 drop depending on who you talk to. if not then I bet it's hangers and shackles which is a 4 inch drop, but I think can be made into a 3 inch on some shackles by moving the leaf down a hole?
truck centers work good and sound good to me, I think the ones with the most holes or the 2nd pic would work best, they came on trucks, but the others look good as well. You want painted wheels or have you considered chrome rallys?
As for selling not sure who makes em either but you can find it out, see if the center has a name on it, or if you have a tire took off it look at the inside sometimes they are stamped.
I think they are decent wheels, I've seen worse, I'd think $200 for a whole set, maybe give or take $50-100 depending on where/how you sell them. if you include tires and they are good tread left I think more like $300 min. to maybe $400-500?
If it was me I'd go for a set or cragars or TT-2's
-
The springs sit under the axle.
I have Thought about Cragars and Torque Thrust styles, they are still an option. They look period for the truck.
-
I like the slots with the center caps of the 2nd set. My 2 cents...
-
my old man has the cragar ss's on his 84 c10 he has the reversed offset or deep dish ones in a 15 inch. I love em.
I would like to see the first wheel with the 2nd wheels centers.
-
looks like a 4/6 drop. corvette rallys might be nice for a period understated but nice factory "muscle" style wheel.
-
Ok, so I found a set of the earlier Corvette Rallys, in chrome with flat caps, 15x8 front, 15x10 rear 4 1/2 back spacing came off a 70 C10. Thinking of going to pick them up. Guy wants a fair price for them, so I may go get them, 1 1/2 hour drive, and its 101 degrees out. I will take my car.
-
Also, I want to run a tire in the rear with some sidewall to give it a good rake, nothing insane, but I don't want low profile on the rear.
-
Thanks guys for your help. These are MINE! 15X8 4"BS, 15X10 4.5"BS They are true and straight, stamped made in USA, and came with flat caps, $380....
Now for tires and round headlights.

nice wheels a set of all chrome rallys. I think I'd like a different center but those look good.
I think you want a 295 or wider rear tire maybe a 295 75 70 or 65 not sure what size you can get. I think I've seen a 295 60 and 50 but can't remember. I'd go to summit and check out their tires to see what sizes you can get. Maybe a 315 or 325, or some old school n50's or something like that.
-
I already made a suggestion for the rear tire... but you need to measure the front. I have 265/50R15 on the front of my 74 and 235/60R15 on the front of my stepside. Those wheels are 5x5 lug pattern?
-
Yeah, 325 seems like its gonna be huge. Everything I have seen and read points to the 295/50/15. Front seems like I could run lots of stuff, got 245/60/15 right now. I would like to see some pics if you got some, that would help. They are 5 on 5. Thanks again! ;D
-
my old man has 255/60's on his 15x7 cragar ss's on the front and rear.
-
275/60/15's front and back

^^^those 15x8 wheels btw.^^^

325/50R15 Drag radials in the back on 15x10's and 265/50R15 on 15.8.5's on the fron in this pic

Those are some nice trucks Vile! I will measure. I think mine is a tad low in the rear for the poke. I will have to measure.
I think on the 8's I will do the 245/60 15.
1980C10, that looks great. Exactly what I want to do to my front end. Swap to rounds with black surrounds and possibly black out the grille.
-
Here's a picture of mine with 16x10s in the rear wrapped with 295/50-16 Radial T/As and 15x8s in the front wrapped with 245/60-15 Radial T/As in the front. 4 inch backspacing in the front and 5 inch backspacing in the rear. Rear tire is 27.6" tall and front tire is 26.6" tall. The sidewall height is the same on both sizes.

that's my old man's 84 with the 155/60's on all four corners. he's looking to buy some 10's for the back and run some wide tires to fill it out nice.

whenever you get the round lights you should take a pic with the shiny grille, mine was previuosly gray. Just wondering what it would look like.
