This is my current project! I call her "Layla"!!!
-
Layla is one beautiful lady, bigbird.
what else do you have planned for her???
-
Very nice, and welcome!
-
Captchaos- THANKS!!! Lowbudget- actually cut the roof off to start the chop today, and now that its off i'm thinking bout changing plans and making it "topless". If i do i'm gonna chop the door tops down level with the bed! But idk, i'm taking votes on my facebook page and so far all have said topless except one!lol What do you guys think? Cant seem to get the current pics from my phone to here so if you have a facebook look for Big Bird in Texas, check it out, and get back to me!!!
-
friend 73-87chevytrucks on facebook and we can find you!
-
Cool ride! I like the rims alot.
-
Have you thought about watering it, to see if it would grow????????
Just kidding, very nice peice. Keep us posted.
-
This is just my opinion, and I would have to see it, but the front a-pillar is going to look really lost in such a LONG truck...
-
If i do go topless, i will still chop the windshield 4" and possibly lean it back! Heres more pics!
-
My Vote goes to chopped!
-
Just putting another thought out there, what about raising the rear bed caps to match the original door seal lip?
You may want to have it photoshopped to get an idea.
-
That was a thought i had too Captchaos, even taper it domn to nothing at the rear to match the taper of the hood. But i have decided to go with the chop due to the fact that she's a driver not a trailor queen and it would suck to be out when one of those unexpected Texas thunder storms comes out of nowhere!lol Heres what i have as of today tho!
-
Hey, I saw this truck in the newest issue of Truckin'. Nice ride!
-
Yes Sir, i was at Texas Showdown in June, and Truckin' shot it for thier Busted Knuckles section. Thanks!!!
-
I think chopped is a better idea.
-
Got a little more done today!
-
Now she is just 45 inches tall when laid out!
-
can you put up a bigger pic of the top 2?
-
looks nice, i agree we need bigger pictures.
-
Wow, now I want one!
-
Well the problem is my digital camera broke on me, so i take these with my Storm then send them to myself in an email, then save pics to desktop and this is how they end up. So i dont know! Got any ideas? Remember i'm computer stupid tho! lol
-
email it to me.
-
Let's see if i figured this out on the bigger pics????????
-
Nice!
-
It worked, SWEET!!! Heres what i started with!
-
Great job bigbird!!!! Love the taillights 8) 8) 8)...
-
Thanks!!!
-
that thing is awesome. Great work by the way.
-
in the what you started with pic, are those excursion wheels?
oh and i love the truck, not a big fan of chop tops, but you didnt do the usual take it down to a 5 inch windshield thing, i like it.
-
No they were 3/4ton simulators, kinda like dually simulators. Even had the lil lug nut covers. I sold them for beer money!lol
-
I'm impressed with the shop, the truck, and your work !!
-
Saw this in Truckin', and man it looked good in there. But now it looks even better with that chop. I must say though, my favorite has to be that shifter lol
-
Thanks Fellas!!!! The shop was pure luck, i rent this house with a roomate for $1000 a month! ($500each) He has 2 huge 4x4's that wont fit thru the doors, so i have the 6 car garage to myself!
-
are you going to post the new pics?
-
Heres the newest ones!
-
Sorry they are small but the program that allowed me to enlarge them was a free trial that expired and now wants $3oo.
-
I am going to upload the larger one you sent me as soon as I get a breather.
