Title: how to mount mirror
Post by: Buddy on October 01, 2010, 05:33:46 am
now that I was able to get the door to fit. I see that there is no holes in the door for the morror to bolt on. Just looking for any info or tricks to do this. Where can I buy the hardware. I tried to get the nuts out of the old door but they looked pressed in.

Nuts, and bolts work fine. You can also get rubber mounter brass mounts. About a 1/2" hole, when you tighten the bolt is expands the rubber out to hold tight in the hole. If you want the original style you will need the rivet gun with the nut sert attachment, and nut serts. Make a simple pattern, and messure to place the new holes.

There is a measurement in the tech section for placement.

You need 1/4-20 jack nuts.

Just google them. The factory style had a coating on them.

You can find them from Dorman as well and in the HELP! section at most autoparts stores.

Jack nuts are what I have always known as nut serts.
