Well I've had some parts I've been selling/trading off before we move and I met a couple of guys that I traded a complete 2bolt 350 I had for a complete sf 14bolt and a set of 3/4ton springs. Well after they arived in their 84 lwb 2wd 6cly chevy the upper rad hose blew so after we swaped all the parts I gave them a ride to advanced on the other side of town....ok before we get too far here is a rundown on my truck 86 lwb 4x4 31x10.5 mud grip tires 350 bored 040 26cc dish piston 416 heads milled 025 summit 1103 cam rpm intake 600carb long tubes open y pipe (temporary) summit racing th350 12in 2800stall and 3.42 gears....whew...lol on the way back we rolled up on a newer shortbed reg cab 2wd hemi with exhaust and well I guess he didn't like the sound of my cam or something but once we started rolling along he punched it so I rolled into it since I didn't want any parts flying around damaging my bed and we let off at about 60ish and his rear bumper was at my front. I know nothing amazing but it was my first time I've gotten to play since the new motor and trans and I though I did well considering I had atleast 500lbs of stuff in the bed 3 of us in the cab and another 100lbs of tools in the cab plus me being poorly under geared. Anyways just thought I would share. :)

Better yet, his truck surely would shut off, before yours ;) so you win anyways
-
You could of took him. He just got a jump on ya lol
-
those guys you gave a lift to for a new hose, may be considering yanking that 6 cyl out now ;D You gave'em a taste of how a 350 can be built.
-
haha well i think thats what they may be doing with that 350 they got from me lol. the motor i had in my 82 trans am before i parted it was a 350 bored 030 with the same grind cam and a set of modded 416s also same intake ect only thing motor diffrence was it had 1.6rr where ive got stamped steel 1.5 on the truck mainly since i still have press in studs and dont want to have any issues..but in a 3300lb car with 3.73s and a good quality 3500 converter it was good for mid 8s in the 1/8th low 8s if i would have put a sticky tire on it. i think some more tuning on the truck playing with the timing and rebuilding the carb along with some 4.10s it should run well.

here is a idle video of my truck i took last night. didnt shut it off because i was afraid it wouldnt restart since ive been having charging issues still :-\ even went and had everything checked and all is good on the meters.
