Title: door glass
Post by: 75chevybakers on October 03, 2010, 12:25:48 pm
I was wondering, I bought 85 power window doors and I have a set of 75 doors... Anyway the rubber and glass is new in the 75, will the glass and vent window work with the power setup(85 doors)? I noticed the vent window is a little different... Thanks

I think the glass would be thicker on the '75.

Pay attention to the lower window track and compare it to the power version and verify they are the same.  I know the 73-74 are different, can't remember on the 75-76, power came out in 1977.

If I remember right 73-80 and 81 up is the split for the different glass.

The doors where the seals go is the same, just the seals are different thicknesses to match the glass.  whatever year the glass is, thats what you buy the seals for.

1975 windows in an 1985 door would require 1975 seals.

Top:  73-80 Seals
Bottom: 81-up seals.
Notice theres more thickness to adjust for the thinner glass
