I have no pictures but its an 85 c-10 1/2 ton 305-auto. On my water neck is two what looks like screw in pieces, one has vaccum lines attached to it, and the other is broken off. I did find an electrical wire unhooked near by, does anyone know what this broken piece is????
Thanks
Gregg

Spell check and take pix so we can see exactly what you are talking about.
The device with the vacuum hoses is a thermostatic vacuum switching valve. (TVSV)
It's job was to allow or block vacuum depending on temperature. Don't know what you're talking about for the other one unless you can take a pic or describe it better.

The truck is three hours away and I forgot to take a picture of this, I assumed it was some sort of temp sender because i found an electrical connector laying near it, and nothing else is unhooked. It looks like some sort f sender that has been snapped off, the part is still there that is shsaped for a wrench for you to scew it in, so I guess I will take a pic when I go back in three weeks
