Title: towing issues
Post by: screamin86 on October 07, 2010, 02:15:59 pm
Well I'm getting rid of my 82 trans am this coming sunday and have to haul it about 70miles from my house and I called uhaul and they will not rent me a trailer because they do not recomend it! On paper they said that my k10 cannot haul a 82 trans am even though I told them it had no motor or transmission. I'm kinda aggervated right now and need to find a trailer for a resonable price to rent before saturday afternoon.

Rent a car dolly, or go back and tell them you lined up a Duramax to pull it with.

They wouldn't do it with a dolly either. A friend of mine is going to ride up with me in his cummins though and we are going to pick it up with it lol.

I thought you were towing your 78 Ford Pinto?
(it's much lighter than your T/A).

Lmao! Well when I punch in the numbers on the uhaul website it will let me do it if my car had the iron duke in it but not with a v8. The thing is the car has no motor or transmission even in it lol.

Haha The iron duke is awesome... They can't let you even w/o a motor?

Well I'm sure they will but the problem is there are so many diff uhaul locations around me but finding one that has a hauler is the problem. Out of 3 I called today plus the 1800 number no one could tell me which branch had one.
