i need a good wiring harness for my 74 chevy thats not too expensive. i dont know anything about electronics and wiring cause it never really interested me so i never messed around with it or did research on it. i want to put all mechanical custom gauges in the truck too if that matters for what harness i would need. id really appreciate it if someone would help me by posting some links and helping me out with this

If you are planning on custom wiring and gauges I would suggest you definitely do your homework on electrical systems.

I did a similar re-wiring job on my '71 when I had it torn down. I used the EZ wiring harness, and it is fairly easy to do. Mine was a complete aftermarket re-wire though. All aftermarket gauges, a/c, stereo, cooling fans, etc. I re-used very little of the factory components. Just things like the ignition switch, wiper motor, headlights and tail lights. If I were to do another one, I'd still use the the EZ harness again, it just might require a bit more head scratching when more factory components are used.
