Just wanted to say hello and great site. Bought my first 4x4 back in June. been working on it since then, PO was quite good at halfway fixing stuff. Just enough to keep it rolling. Not a bad truck overall, have been driving it everyday except when I had it tore apart for something. Today I tore the steering box off it to repair the frame, weld on kit from ORD will be here Thursday. Looks like a fairly easy job. Anyway I have learned a lot from looking around this site, sure to have some questions for ya as I try to figure out what I have,I don't think any of the drive train is original except maybe the front axle.
Truck is 1985k10 350/350 Edelbrock 1406 & headers. 4" Superlift Suspension. Running 35/12.5/15's Don't know about transfer case and all I know is a 12 bolt rear axle, front is 10 bolt.

Welcome to the forum Patrick. Looks like you have done a good job of figuring out what your up against. Don't you love PO's with a half wit mentality. It does make for entertaining stories though.
post pics when you have a chance.

Thanks guys, I saw a post by Blazin about transfer cases and I believe mine is a NP208 as it has the bar that bolts to the front of transmission. Would this be correct?

The 208 does use a brace from the side of the t-case to one of the bellhousing bolts. Also if it has an aluminum housing it's a 208. Welcome to the site.
